What do I need to do to protect me?

So, I was the victim of domestic violence for almost 2 years by my abusive boyfriend whose 43. He use to hit on me, call me names, get drunk, throw me on his bed when he’s drunk, argue with me when he use to be drunk, and just recently he threw some tools at me on last Friday. I want to put a restraining order out on him because on today he said something smart to me and I’ve been ignoring it basically the whole day. Me thinking that he let bygones be bygones that happened on last Friday; He didn’t. He actually said, that he has something to explain too me; I didn’t want to hear and he asked me to get out of his yard; So, I left. When I called him to ask what’s the problem, he said, " It had something to do with Eugene, his sister, and me." I don’t what the hell is going on and why I’m included in this with his sister and the man; Whose my cousin and married. So, Basically, my cousin is having an affair with his wife with James sister; Which is my ex now. My mother is suppose to call him and see what’s going on; I have no idea what’s going on. I informed James that he was going to be served because his family is against me and he shouldn’t have no right to call me, see me, talk to me, or even come by my mother’s house where I live.
I’m 22 and I’m putting a order towards him because of the violence; I mean, he shouldn’t have a right to call me, harass me, come see me, and come in my yard; If I’m not allowed right?
What should we do? My mother and I that is?

Robert the Haunted Doll

In 1906, when painter Robert Eugene Otto was six years old, his family’s Bahamian servant (some say slave) gave him a special present. It was a doll crafted in the boy’s likeness, and she’d even given it the name Robert. Throughout Otto’s childhood, he showed an unusual attachment to Robert the Doll. And whenever strange things happened around the house, Otto always claimed they were Robert’s doing.

As an adult, Otto built a special room for Robert in the attic of his home, complete with scaled-down furniture and lowered ceilings. No one was allowed to visit the room. Yet according to Wikipedia, "children on their way home from school claim that they would see Robert move around in the upstairs windows even when no one was home."

But the fun didn’t really begin until after Otto’s death. His will required that Robert be left in peace, so when Otto’s wife rented their old house, she allowed Robert to stay in the attic. Renters often claimed to hear footsteps and laughter coming from upstairs. Occasionally, they’d check on the doll, only to find that he’d changed positions.

A plumber who worked on the house’s plumbing told this story:

"I was doing some work in the [attic]. . . . The doll looked pretty creepy sitting there on the little chair holding its stuffed animal, but I had work to do so I didn’t think much about it at first. As my work continued I had to make a few trips to get some parts from the van. Each time I returned I could swear the doll had moved a little bit. Like I said, I had work to do so I ignored it as much as I could, but when I was just about finished with the job and started descending the stairs, I heard a little kid giggling behind me. When I turned around the doll was on the opposite side of the room. The first thing I did was look to see where the kid was, but no one was there. I wasn’t really frightened, but it was weird so I just continued down stairs and left. Some of my tools are probably still up there."

Today, Robert is in the East Martello Museum in Key West, Florida. Museum employees claim that he’s still up to his old tricks.

Other information I’ve heard, but don’t know if it is true:

(1) Roberts owner killed himself in thye closet with Robert. He locked himself in the closet with Robert telling his wife, "If you don’t love him you don’t love me."

(2) Robert inspired Childs Play

Christians, what are your thoughts on this statement?

"We confess that the Pope has power of changing Scripture and of adding to it, and taking from it, according to his will." Roman Catholic Confessions for Protestants Oath, Article XI, (Confessio Romano-Catholica in Hungaria Evangelicis publice praescripta te proposita, editi a Streitwolf), as recorded in Congressional Record of the U.S.A., House Bill 1523, Contested election case of Eugene C. Bonniwell, against Thos. S. Butler, Feb. 15, 1913.

Where to live around Seattle?

My fiance and I are moving to the Emerald City soon. By soon, I mean 116 days (we’re counting down). I can give lots of good reasons as to why we’re moving, but it’s a definite YES that it’s going to happen, as soon as the day after Thanksgiving this year.
We’re both getting into our late 20′s and want to start our lives somewhere different. We are pretty rural people, coming from small towns in New Hampshire. We would prefer the countryside over the city but there is a lot we need to do in and around Seattle, so closer the better. We’re looking for a region to live that can give us some sort of view of nature, whether it be right next door or in the distance. We’d rather not be in a completely urbanized environment. We have two large golden retrievers and plan on getting more dogs in the future … I’m living with a dog trainer, what do you expect. :) We also have cats, so it’s safe to say we need a pet friendly place. We also need space, but that doesn’t necessarily mean a 3,000 square foot home. We’d suffice with 800 at this point (or lower if we had to). We’re living in a smaller area right now so it wouldn’t be much different.
We are evening job people, as we are still going to college during the day for a number of years coming. We would rather not commute long distances, but I know the transit system around Seattle isn’t the best and the freeways can get packed.
So, all that said, we need to find a small and decent home near Seattle that gives a nice little glimpse of the country, but gives a decently shortly commute to school or work. For me that’s Bastyr University in Kenmore, WA right on Lake Washington, and for my fiance it’s University of Washington, Seattle Campus. In terms of jobs, I’m already a massage practitioner in New Hampshire and plan on renewing my licensed in Washington, and she’s a professional dog trainer. But I guess I’ll save job questions for another post sometime soon.
I’d like to note that one of our options, aside from renting a decent place that allows dogs, is finding property to purchase, but we wouldn’t want any less than 1 to 2 acres, so I know that can’t be too urban.
Thank you for any advice you can gives us as to where to move.
Thank you for the answers so far. A little commute won’t hurt us, but we just enjoy our rural lifestyle. However, if you know of any good suburban places where we could rent a decent house or a good size apartment that allows dogs, that’s good enough for us too. We’ll be moving during the holiday season. Not the best time I know, but our only real choice for the time being.

What do you think of this novel idea?

I have a Latin teacher, Eugene Olson, whom I dearly love, and he’s perhaps the wisest old man you’ll ever meet. He’s a tad blunt, and he swears from time to time when he’s frustrated. He’s 85 years old (I think), and he shares my birthday, which I thought was bizarre. Anyways, I have an idea for his biography, it would be entitled ‘The Seven Thrones of King Eugene,’ it would tell his life’s tale in a gentle, humorous manner. From the day he was born, to the day of his death, he is always mentioned to be sitting. He would always sit on his porch swing as a little boy, then in his desk at school. Later, in his college dorm he’d stay in his chair to study. After the war, he would plop himself on the bar stool and drink away. Later the teacher’s chair (in which he teaches us today). Then his wheelchair in the hospital. Finally, he dies in the comfortable armchair he loves in his house.

The book would be mostly fictional, as I only know bits and pieces of his life. But his philosophy and pieces of his wisdom would be sprinkled throughout.
So, any comments or ideas?
Max, not only was that tasteful and humorous, but you mentioned two people whom I adore.
